Germanfest – Sioux Falls, South Dakota
The Sister Cities Association of Sioux Falls presents the Annual Germanfest at Falls Park West. Germanfest is FREE and is a wonderful festival for all ages. Guests are invited to bring their lawn chairs to this FREE event and enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the Annual Germanfest! This event draws and estimated 15,000 people every year.
Funding for Germanfest comes from the Sister Cities Association of Sioux Falls (501(c)3) and local area merchants.
Some of their activities for the day are:
- Children’s Puppet Show presented by Siouxland Libraries
- 2-6pm Bochfest Boys
- 4pm Dachshund Races
- 6-10pm Mississippi Valley Dutchmen
- Children’s area of entertainment and games
- German food and drink
- Dancing
- Product and information vendors
