Missouri River Expeditions – Vermillion, South Dakota

Missouri River Expeditions of Vermillion, South Dakota can facilitate families, novices, solo paddlers, and groups of up to 30. MRE offers guided kayak expeditions every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday on a stretch of Wild and Scenic Missouri River between Yankton SD and Ponca NE.

No experience is necessary. All trips include a river hardened guide, top notch equipment, lunch, shuttles, and competent instruction on efficient paddling and river safety.

Day trips between Gavins Point Dam and Ponca State Park cost $70 and last approximately 7 hours. A full day and overnight costs $125 per day and includes tent camping, dinner, and breakfast. If camping isn’t your cup of tea, air conditioned cabin rentals are available for an additional charge. Group rates are available. Children under 12 receive a 15% discount.
