Valiant Vineyards Winery of Vermillion began over a decade ago when Eldon and Sherry Nygaard set out to establish the first winery in South Dakota. In 1993, they planted a small vineyard on land over-looking Turkey Ridge Creek in Turner County, South Dakota.

Top Gun Hunting Ranch is a 2600 acre pheasant hunting ground with a 2000 square foot bunkhouse. Overnight and day hunting trips are available. Because it is a preserve, the hunting season is able to run longer than the regular South Dakota season.

Enjoy quartzite rock formations along Split Rock River and interesting architecture of the WPA (Works Progress Administration of the 1930’s) featuring a dam with waterfall, bathhouse, bridges and rock wall with flower garden. The quartzite used in the structures was hand quarried locally.
