Dakotaland Museum - Huron, South Dakota - The Dakotaland Museum, which was established in 1960 as the South Dakota State Fair Pioneer Museum, is dedicated to the preservation of the heritage of Huron and Beadle County. More than 5000 artifacts are currently on display and thousands are welcomed each year.
The Dacotah Prairie Museum of Aberdeen, South Dakota mounts both long and short-term exhibits concerning the prairie early settlers, their lives and lifestyles the railroad and its influence on settlement and Native American life.
Codington County Heritage Museum - Watertown, South Dakota. The Codington County Heritage Museum is located in the former Carnegie Library building in uptown Watertown, South Dakota. The museum’s collections include thousands of local history artifacts, 200 linear feet of archival material, and more than 2000 photographs.
The Brown County Fair has been providing entertainment and promoting family unity since the 1880’s. It began as a small county fair where livestock, vegetables, grains, and machinery were brought for display. The 2006 fair will be August 14 - 20.
At the Brable Park Zoo in Watertown you can experience over 500 mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, fish and invertebrates representing 130 varieties from around the world and those native to South Dakota.
The Bramble Park Zoo was established in 1912 when Mr. Frank Bramble donated some pheasants and waterfowl to the city.
South Dakota offers spring and fall turkey seasons open to both residents and nonresidents. License options include a Black Hills license or a Prairie-turkey license. For harvest needs, some prairie units may offer two-tag options. The Black Hills offers only single-tag licenses.

The Aberdeen Recreation and Cultural Center’s Gallery is located within the Aberdeen Recreation and Cultural Center. The center displays art to promote an appreciation for the visual arts through a multitude of art forms, media and subject matter, as well as offering affordable original artwork for sale from local and regional artists.
