Bramble Park Zoo - Watertown, South Dakota
At the Brable Park Zoo in Watertown you can experience over 500 mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, fish and invertebrates representing 130 varieties from around the world and those native to South Dakota.
The Bramble Park Zoo was established in 1912 when Mr. Frank Bramble donated some pheasants and waterfowl to the city. The WPA was instrumental in the construction of the zoo. If you want to see some work of these dedicated people of the depression era this will be an excellent opportunity to not only enjoy the animals but also touch history.
There is a Discovery Center for educational opportunities at the zoo.
There are also the bison overlook, bird world, a black-footed ferret exhibit, salt water aquariums, a petting zoo and many animals to enthrall both the children and adults.
Thre are educational programs available through the zoo for all ages from pre-school on. If you want to learn more about animals and how to care for them the zoo is a wonderful place to get that education.
Zoo Hours:
Summer: 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Winter: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

2 years and younger………………. FREE
3 to 12 years………………….. $ 3.00
13 years and older…………………. $ 5.00
Children 12 and younger must be accompanied by a paid adult.
Location:
Bramble Park Zoo is located along SD Highway 20 in Northwest Watertown. Directional signs are located along Interstate 29, US Highway 212 and Highway 20.
